12:00 PM – A battery occurred in the 3100 block of Glenrose Avenue. Suspect was taken into custody. 
Tuesday, April 16th 
10:40 AM – A battery occurred in the 2100 block of Lake Avenue. Suspect has been identified. 
4:00 PM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Holliston Avenue. Suspect(s) entered the vehicle via unknown means. Stolen: black Easton softball bag, bat, helmet, and gloves. 
6:00 PM – A petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 200 block of Wapello Street. Stolen: vehicle owner’s manual, keys, identification, and toiletries. 
9:03 PM – Douglas Schulte, 52 years old of El Monte was arrested in the 1800 block of E. Washington Boulevard for possession of a controlled substance. 
Wednesday, April 17th 
12:37 AM – Juan Lopez, 23 years old of Altadena was arrested in the 1800 block of Lake Avenue for possession of a controlled substance. 
Thursday, April 18th 
4:00 PM – A grand theft occurred in the 10 block of W. Woodbury Road. Stolen: black Samsung cellphone.

12:00 PM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 4100 block of Chaney Trail.  Suspect(s) entered the vehicle via unknown means.  Stolen: credit cards.

Monday, April 8th

3:00 AM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the area of Woodbury Road and El Sereno Avenue.  Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by shattering the window.  Stolen:  white iPhone charger and black radio transmitter.
5:00 PM – A petty theft occurred in the 200 block of Highlawn Place.  Several items stolen were recovered in the immediate area.  Stolen:  seat cushions.
8:30 PM – An assault with a deadly weapon occurred in the 2500 block of N. El Molino Avenue.  Suspect was taken into custody.

Tuesday, April 9th

2:52 AM – Jarome Aaron, 27 years old of Altadena was arrested in the 1800 block of N. Lake Avenue for driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent.  Vehicle was recovered in Altadena.
7:53 AM – A vehicle was reported stolen from the 2400 block of Olive Avenue.  Vehicle described as a white 2009 Ford F150.
9:00 PM - A vehicle burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Glen Canyon Road.  Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by shattering the window.  Loss:  backpack, vehicle emergency bag and currency.

Wednesday, April 10th

10:15 AM – A trailer was reported stolen from the 2400 block of Olive Avenue.  Trailer described as a black 2007 Texas Bragg.
1:00 PM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the area of Chaney Trail and Brown Mountain Truck Trail.  Suspect(s) entered the vehicle via unknown means.  Stolen:  white Schelter diamond bass guitar, gray guitar bag, gray Andriod tablet, and gray ear plugs.
3:05 PM – A package theft occurred in the 3400 block of McNally Avenue.  Stolen:  (3) packages containing merchandise.

Thursday, April 11th

10:00 PM – A domestic violence incident occurred in the 2300 block of N. Lincoln Avenue.  Both parties were taken into custody.

Friday, April 12th

12:10 AM – Ronnie Sims, 54 years old of Pasadena was arrested in the 300 block of E. Woodbury Road for possession of a controlled substance.
9:00 AM – A vehicle was reported stolen from the 2100 block of El Molino Avenue.  Vehicle described as a black 2016 Honda CRV.

Saturday, April 13th

7:45 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 1300 block of Hull Lane.  Suspect entered the residence by shattering the window.  No items reported stolen.

5:00 PM – A petty theft occurred in the 100 block of W. Altadena Drive.  Stolen:  brown Char-Grill smoker.

Monday, April 1st
2:05 PM – A grand theft of landscaping equipment occurred in the 2900 block of Mount Curve Avenue.  Stolen:  (3) hedge trimmers.
2:45 PM – A robbery occurred at a business in the 2200 block of Lincoln Avenue.  Suspect described as a male, Black, approximately 20-25 years old, 5 ft. 8 in. – 5 ft. 10 in. and 130 – 140 pounds.  Stolen:  currency.
3:05 PM – A package theft occurred in the 3400 block of McNally Street.  Stolen:  package containing unknown items.
9:45 PM – A vehicle was reported stolen from the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue.  Vehicle described as black 2005 Lexus ES330.

Tuesday, April 2nd
10:59 AM – A trailer was reported stolen from the 1000 block of E. Woodbury Road.  Trailer described as a white 1998 Rockwood M-204055 trailer.

Wednesday, April 3rd
5:50 PM – Daniel Schiffer, 19 years old of Pasadena was arrested in the 1500 block of Pepper Drive for residential burglary.  Items stolen were recovered.

Thursday, April 4th
12:27 AM – Douglas Schulte, 52 years old of El Monte was arrested in the area of Allen Avenue and Washington Boulevard for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Friday, April 5th
12:05 PM – A residential vandalism occurred in the 300 block of Ventura Street.  Damage to gate.

Saturday, April 6th
3:51 AM – A residential burglary occurred in the 1700 block of N. Harding Avenue.  Suspect(s) entered the residence by tampering with the window screen.  Stolen:  gold necklace, platinum ring and currency.

Monday, March 18th

3:00 PM – A cruelty to an animal and battery occurred in the area of Mount Wilson Road.  Suspect described as a male , Black, approximately 63 years old, 6 feet, 220 lbs., with grey dreadlocks.  No significant injuries were reported.
8:14 PM – A vehicle was reported stolen from the 2500 block of Santa Anita Avenue.  Vehicle described as a gray 2010 Honda Accord 2-door.

Tuesday, March 19th

7:30 AM – A residential burglary occurred in the 1500 block of N. Harding Avenue.  Suspect(s) entered the residence by shattering the window.  Stolen:  collectible coins and currency.
3:00 PM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 2100 block of Lincoln Avenue.  Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by shattering the window.  Stolen:  silver handbag, cosmetic bag, and a necklace with white stones.
10:35 PM – A petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 1600 block of Oakwood Street.  Stolen:  black NY Film Academy backpack, school ID, earrings, and currency.

Wednesday, March 20th

5:50 PM – Santos Perez, 25 years old of Los Angeles and Josephine Gallas, 23 years old of Los Angeles were arrested in the 2600 block of Porter Avenue for residential burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Thursday, March 21st

1:38 AM – A residential vandalism occurred in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue.  Suspect has been identified.
7:00 AM – A residential burglary occurred in the 1100 block of E. Mariposa Street.   Suspect(s) entered the residence by shattering the window.  Stolen:  black Swiss Army watch and currency.

Friday, March 22n

4:52 AM – A commercial burglary occurred in the 2300 block of N. Fair Oaks Avenue.  Suspect(s) entered the location by shattering the glass door.  Stolen:  black cash register and boxes of cigarettes.
10:00 AM – A residential burglary occurred in the 2000 block of N. Raymond Avenue.  Suspect(s) entered the residence via unknown means.  Stolen:  LED Milwaukee 18v flood light, blue JBL Bluetooth speaker, black radio cable, and tools.
8:00 PM – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the 100 block of W. Loma Alta Drive.  Vehicle spray painted by unknown suspect(s).

Robin Limon has been a Department leader in numerous high-profile positions and brings a diverse leadership background to her new position.

Limon graduated from the academy in 1989 and began her career at Sybil Brand Institute as a line deputy before transferring to Transportation Bureau.  She worked patrol at Norwalk Station (NWK) as a field training officer and was selected to be a detective at Major Crimes Bureau.

As a sergeant, Limon worked in multiple custody facilities before transferring to Pico Rivera Station (PRV) as a field sergeant and watch sergeant.  She served at Emergency Operations Bureau in the Tactical Planning Unit before promoting to lieutenant.

Limon’s experience as a lieutenant ranged from custody to courts before she returned to patrol at NWK as a watch commander and service area lieutenant.

In December, 2018, Sheriff Alex Villanueva promoted Limon to the rank of Chief, overseeing Court Services Division.

Limon has received numerous awards and commendations throughout her career for her dedication to the Department and her hard work in the many communities she has served.

Limon has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Whittier College and a Master’s degree in Emergency Services Administration from California State University, Long Beach.

In her off-duty time, Limon enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and attending sporting events.

As Assistant Sheriff, Limon will oversee Countywide Operations, which includes Detective Division, Technology & Support, Special Operations Division, and Countywide Services Division, which encompasses over 200 facilities located across the 4,752 square miles of Los Angeles County.

Timothy K. Murakami Promoted to Undersheriff

Tim Murakami’s decades of leadership and experience across multiple bureaus made him Sheriff Alex Villanueva’s natural choice for this position.  He began his career in 1979 as a deputy at Men’s Central Jail (MCJ), before transferring to East Los Angeles Station (ELA) as a patrol deputy and member of the Gang Suppression Team.

Upon promoting to sergeant, Murakami transferred to the Sybil Brand Institute, where he was a part of Operation Safe Jails.  He transferred briefly to Recruit Training Bureau and then to Industry Station (IDT), where he worked as a patrol sergeant and as the Asian Community Liaison team leader.  He also helped implement the Asian Crime Task Force.

Upon his promotion to lieutenant, he remained at IDT, serving in various roles before transferring to Cerritos and then Temple stations.  He promoted to the rank of captain and returned to IDT, where he served until he promoted to assistant sheriff in 2018.

Throughout his career, Murakami has been involved in several aspects of the Department, including the Explorer Program, Youth Activities League, Street Racer Operations, Emergency Preparedness Network, and on several task force and incident command teams.

He has supported the Fred Jordan Mission and served on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Care Center.  He has received several awards for his community contributions, including “Rookie of the Year”, the Department’s Distinguished Service Award, the Community Achievement Award, and the Asian Gang Investigators of California Lifetime Achievement Award.

Murakami is married with four children and has 14 grandchildren.  When he is off duty, he enjoys staying active and spending time with his family, including his dog.

As Undersheriff, he will supervise three assistant sheriffs who represent a majority of the Department, including, patrol, detectives, courts, technology, specialized operations and countywide services.  He will also directly oversee professional standards, training, administrative services, and personnel.

2:30 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 2100 block of Santa Rosa Avenue.  Suspect(s) entered the residence by removing the window screen.  Stolen:  unknown.  
3:27 PM – Jacinto Ruiz, 54 years old of Altadena and Elmer Martinez, 41 years old of Pasadena were arrested in the area of Sacramento Street and Raymond Lane for drinking in public.  
8:30 PM – Oddis Cole, 62 years old of Pasadena was arrested in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Altadena Drive for under the influence of a controlled substance.  
 
Monday, March 4th 
 
3:42 AM – A battery occurred in the 500 block of W. Harriet Street.  Suspect has been identified.   
1:00 PM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the area of Chaney Trail and Brown Mountain.  Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by punching the driver’s side door lock.  Stolen:  various Canon camera lens, tan Canon backpack and a tripod.  
4:15 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 1900 block of New York Drive.  Suspect(s) entered the residence by shattering the rear door.  Stolen:  silver chain with diamond stone, gold Harvard women’s ring, gold Westridge women’s ring and a black and white jewelry box.  
9:57 PM – Timothy Sams, 51 years old of Altadena was arrested in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue for possession of a controlled substance.  
 
Tuesday, March 5th 
 
1:00 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 1300 block of La Solana Drive.  Suspect(s) entered the residence by shattering a window.  Stolen:  unknown.   
8:30 PM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 1100 block of Morada Place.  Suspect(s) entered the vehicle via unknown means.  Stolen:  blue handicap placard, vehicle registration and baseball gear.   
9:30 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Mar Vista Avenue.  Suspect(s) entered the residence by shattering the French doors.  Stolen:  black safe. 
 
Wednesday, March 6th 
 
4:48 PM – Gregory Moore, 56 years old of Altadena was arrested in the 2200 block of Lake Avenue for shoplifting.  Stolen items were recovered.  
 
Thursday, March 7th 
 
9:47 AM – A vehicle was reported stolen in the 3300 block of Rubio Crest Drive.  Vehicle described as a grey 2017 Toyota Prius.  Vehicle was recovered on 3/9/2019 by Claremont PD. 
  
Friday, March 8th 
 
1:00 AM – An assault with a deadly weapon occurred in the area of Fair Oaks Avenue and Loma Alta Drive.  Suspects have not been identified.  
11:10 AM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 2500 block of E. Washington Boulevard.  Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by shattering the window.  Stolen:  black Louis Vuitton purse and currency.
