Space Shuttle Endeavor to land at LAX Friday

We don’t normally write about events unrelated to the Altadena Sheriff’s Station, but this story we think is worthy.

On Friday morning Space Shuttle Endeavor will leave Edwards Air Force base and fly over Sacramento and San Francisco before heading South to Los Angeles atop a modified Boeing 747.

Sometime after 10:00 AM, and maybe closer to 10:30 AM Endeavor will do low level flyovers of Los Angeles Landmarks. NASA is keeping the ‘Landmarks’ secret for now, but you can bet one of those will be JPL! Some reports have suggested Griffith Park, Disneyland and JPL.

The low flyovers will be about 1,500 feet, so get your cameras prepared and keep your gaze towards the West and JPL.

This should be very exciting!
