This year, Altadena Station will be
memorializing one of our own, Constable Anton Harnischfeger.

Constable Harnischfeger, who on March 20th,
1889, succumbed to a gunshot wound sustained three days earlier while he and a
posse attempted to arrest a man wanted for assaulting a child.

The subject was shot and killed in an exchange
of gunfire with the posse.

Constable Harnischfeger had served an area of
Los Angeles County that would be now consider part of the service area for
Altadena Station. He was survived by his wife and four children.

Cheer us on as we run through Altadena or meet
us at the station for the ceremony and some food!
