The City of Pasadena reminds the public about the
following IMPORTANT road closures, public safety and general event
information for Make Music Pasadena 2014, 10 A.M. TO 11 P.M., SATURDAY,
JUNE 7, 2014
Expected attendance of up to 25,000, or more, at the seventh annual Make
Music Pasadena, a free music festival held throughout Old Pasadena and
the Pasadena Playhouse District with more than 500 musicians performing
140 free concerts on 35 stages in one day!

All Motorists, residents, bicyclists and merchants are advised of the
following road closures and detours:
The Old Pasadena stage will feature entertainment from 12 P.M. to 7 P.M.
The following streets will be closed from 5 A.M. to 10 P.M.
•Colorado Boulevard between Fair Oaks Avenue & Arroyo Parkway
•Raymond Avenue between Union Street & Green Street
The Playhouse District stage will feature entertainment from 12 P.M. to 8
P.M. The following streets will be closed from 7 A.M. to 10 P.M. •Madison
Avenue between Colorado Boulevard & Green Street
Residents are advised to use Del Mar Boulevard and Walnut Street for
east- and westbound travel or Orange Grove Boulevard and Lake Avenue for
north- and southbound travel on event day.
Residents wishing to expedite travel in the Downtown and Old Pasadena
areas on Saturday, June 7, are encouraged to use Del Mar Boulevard and
Walnut Street for east- and westbound travel.
For north- and southbound travel on event day, consider using Orange
Grove Boulevard and Lake Avenue.
PUBLIC SAFETY:
If You See Something, Say Something!
For crimes in progress, suspicious activity or life-threatening
situations, remember to always call 9-1-1 and/or notify the nearest
uniformed officer at the event. Be prepared to speak calmly, give your
location and provide the basic details of the nature of your call.
Pasadena Police and Fire Department personnel will be on scene to help
protect you and respond to any emergencies. For non-emergency calls,
contact the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241.
Remember:
•Stay hydrated during outdoor activities--drink lots of water.
•Use sunscreen, wear a brimmed hat and seek/use shade when available.
•Observe all posted & temporary No Parking signs. Vehicles violating
parking restrictions can be ticketed and towed at owners' expense.
•Expect to pay for parking. Plenty of parking structures and meters.
•Please allow for extra travel time into and out of Pasadena.
•Consider carpooling, or better yet, use Metro for your transportation
needs for the event. Use the Memorial Park Station exit on the Gold Line.
