FIRE EVACUATION ADVISORIES
& ROAD CLOSURES

Evacuation advisories for areas surrounding the Bobcat Fire have been
adjusted to reflect increasing fire containment. All areas under
EVACUATION WARNING have been LIFTED. All areas under EVACUATION ORDER are
now under EVACUATION WARNING.
Residents should continue to remain vigilant and have a plan in place. Should
the situation change, our public safety partners will use the emergency alert
systems and other communication resources to notify residents. Please stay
informed by signing up for AlertLACounty
at Alert.LACounty.Gov.
The hard work and efforts of the multi-agency firefighting crews, and
cooperating partners resulted in LIFTING THE EVACUATION WARNING
for these areas:
• South of
Big Pines Highway, east of Largo Vista Road, west of 263rd Street
and North of the forest. Crews
are still working to fully control the fire. Please note, Unified Incident
Commanders and cooperators continue to evaluate all evacuated areas for
future repopulations.
• South of
Mount Emma Road, north of Upper Big Tujunga Canyon, east of Angeles
Forest Highway, and west of Pacifico Mountain.
• East Fork
Areas: Julius Klein Conservation Camp 19, Camp Williams, and the River
Community
The following areas are now under EVACUATION WARNING:
• Paradise
Springs- South of Big Pines Highway, east of Devil’s Punchbowl, west of Largo
Vista Road, and north of the forest.
• South and
west of Upper Tujunga Canyon Road, east of Angeles Forest Highway, and north
of Angeles Crest Highway
• Residences
along Angeles Crest Highway, between Angeles Forest Highway and Highway 39.
LOCAL ASSISTANCE
CENTER: Fire Survivors, please refer to the following
Local Assistance Center for recovery support. Please Dial 2-1-1 to make
an appointment.
For assistance, LA County Fire Survivors should call 211 and make an
appointment with the Local Assistance Center. The center is located
Palmdale High School Assistance Center but due to Covid-19 safety concerns,
walk-ins are not permitted. This center will be open until TOMORROW October
6th. Property tax relief, cleanup, repair and rebuilding
information, mental health resources and help with replacing lost or damaged
legal documents are all available at this Center.
SAFETY:
There are many hazards that may exist when returning to your home after a
wildfire. These hazards can include fire ash, damaged utilities, exposed and
burned structures, as well as hazardous materials. To protect yourself from
these hazards, it is important to utilize personal protective equipment that
can include breathing protection (N-95 rated respirators), protective
clothing, gloves, and boots, as well as eye/face protection.
ROAD CLOSURE
INFORMATION:
These roads are now OPEN:
• Angeles Forest Highway
• Highway 39 to Crystal Lake Road
These roads remain CLOSED:
• Big Santa Anita Road (the Chantry Road) is closed at the forest
boundary
• Big Rock Creek Road remains closed at Big Pines Highway
• Highway 2 is closed at Angeles Forest Highway and Vincent Gap
• Upper Big Tujunga Road is closed at Angeles Forest Highway
THE ANGELES
NATIONAL FOREST IS CLOSED.
