Altadena Sheriff’s Station early morning patrol deputies continue to keep your streets safe! Deputies conducted a traffic stop and took two in custody. Deputies located nine stolen catalytic converters.

Tips on preventing catalytic converter thefts

- Park in your home garage or driveway when possible.

- Use motion-sensing lights when parking in your driveway.

- Park in well- lit areas.

- Adjust the security system of your car to activate from vibrations, such as those produced by a saw.

- Engrave the car’s VIN number or license plate number into the catalytic converter.

- Targeted vehicles are the Toyota Prius and Honda’s.
