Yes, the 2017 Summer Concert Series (SCS) is upon us! We are working hard to raise the money we need to produce the 21st year of the SCS. Since Altadena is unincorporated, we don't have a City Hall to help fund us. We are the only unincorporated community in the San Gabriel Valley that produces a SCS that is self funding. We need to have corporate sponsors and individuals who will help support us.
The SCS costs about $19,000.00 each year. That includes professional sound and lighting and the artist fees. Not bad for nine concerts, about $2,111.00 per concert.
We will have a few returning acts. We try every year to give the greatest cross section of artists, something for everyone!
One of the acts we are considering is the Saline Fiddler Philharmonic, they could open our concert series on July 8th. Here is a link to their performance:
If you attended the concerts last year, you know what a great time was had by all.
El Patron will be back again serving their Mexican menu and the Rotary Club of Altadena will once again be serving craft beer and wine.
