The Sheriff’s Support Group of
Altadena (SSGA) is announcing the lineup for the 21st Annual FREE
Summer Concerts in the beautiful outdoor Amphitheater in Farnsworth Park, 568
E. Mt. Curve Ave., Altadena, CA 91001. All Concerts are on Saturday evening and
start at 7:00 PM This year is a milestone for SSGA; it’s our 21st year of producing a FREE Summer Concert
Series!
This year’s season
kicks off on July 8th featuring The Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic in their first performance in
Farnsworth Park. They come to us from Saline MI. This is a performance you do
not want to miss. 35 high school students will fiddle their way into your
hearts. We expect a full house! The July
15th concert will feature the Down Beat Express Altadena’s
Big Band featuring Jennifer Gates, yet another concert that can’t be missed. On
July
22nd, Bleeding Harp,
a trailblazing, rockin’ blues band fusing the deep history of the blues
with modern influences of Rock, Jam, and Southern Rock to create a sound all
their own. July 29th Whos
Next will perform their tribute to the WHO! This will also be a jammed packed audience! On August
5th The Tuners will pay tribute to all the greatest Rock and
Roll dance bands, be sure to bring your dancing shoes! On August 12th
Upstream returns to our stage once again as everyone’s favorite Steel Drum
Socca Band. As it is every year this concert will be a jammed packed audience! On
August
19th the featured artists will be The Kings of 88 Playing classic piano rock hits by
Billy Joel, Carole King, Elton John, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Charles, Dr. John, The
Beatles, Stevie Wonder and more. "Piano Rock On!" On August
26th Nowhere Man will be in the Amphitheater playing
your favorite Beatles tunes and so much more. Don’t miss this one! The Grand
Finale of the 21st Summer Concert Series will be on September
9th Featuring Hot
August Night in a tribute to
Neal Diamond. This is sure to be another packed house!
Each year, the Summer Concert
Series has been made possible by the generous support of our Sponsors. This
year SSGA welcomes a new major Sponsor, Super King Markets, and we welcome back
The Rotary Club of Altadena one of our long term major sponsors. Additional major
sponsors include Supervisor Kathryn Barger, Farnsworth Park, Linda Seyffert

SSGA’s first President. The Altadena Sheriff’s Station and Farnsworth Park are both
hosting once again this year and The Sheriff’s Support Group is producing the
series. SSGA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that assists the Altadena
Sheriff’s Station with equipment and supplies not available through the County
budget, and, to promote positive Community Relations. If you wish to become a

El Patron Mexican Food
Restaurant will be cooking and selling food at the top of the Amphitheater and The
Rotary Club of Altadena will be selling beer and wine from the ground floor of
the Davies Building throughout the entire SCS.
