Altadena
Altadena Station, in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Parks and
Recreation Department will commemorate National Night Out on Tuesday,
August 7, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Loma Alta Park (3330 North
Lincoln Avenue, Altadena). The Altadena Posse and Mountain Search and
Rescue Team are scheduled to have static displays of their equipment for
the local youth. In addition to food, music, and games, crime prevention
and emergency preparedness information will be available and distributed

Avalon
Avalon Station personnel and volunteers will host National Night Out on
Tuesday, August 21, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. by setting up a
booth at the intersection of Crescent Avenue and Summer Avenue, Avalon.
Emergency Preparedness Awareness information will be passed out to the
public along with Crime Prevention information. Volunteers will also be
taking youth fingerprints for Operation Kid Print and passing out Youth

Carson Station celebrated National Night Out on Wednesday, August 1,
2012, starting at 6:30 p.m. by hosting a “March and Rally Against Crime

Century Station along with several Community Leaders will host a

The City of Cerritos, in conjunction with “Concerts in the Park” will
celebrate National Night Out on Thursday, August 9, 2012, from 6:30 p.m.

addition, Sheriff’s Department personnel will present crime prevention,
safety, Disaster Preparedness and Homeland Security information.
“Operation Kid Print” will be available for parents wanting to maintain a

Compton Station and the local TARGET Store will celebrate National Night

Crescenta Valley
Crescenta Valley Station will host a Neighborhood event on Tyues, August
7, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ralph’s Fresh Air Market (2675
Foothill Boulevard, La Crescenta) and Vons Supermarket (635 Foothill
Boulevard, La Canada Flintridge). There will also be a Neighborhood Watch
BBQ at the 2700 block of Franklin Street, La Crescenta. There will be
free Safety pamphlets, child fingerprinting and fun giveaways from the
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles County Fire
Department, California Highway Patrol, Montrose Search/Rescue Unit, La
Crescenta C.E.R.T., “McGruff The Crime Fighting Dog” and other community

East Los Angeles
East Los Angeles Station and its station volunteers will host a community
block party including free food, music, entertainment and kids’ activities

safety/information booths by the California Highway Patrol, the Los

people, have numerous safety displays, and free hot dogs for everyone.

The City of Commerce will host a National Night Out event on Tues, August

provide hot dogs, safety materials, giveaways and safety presentations.

be a BBQ, Parade and a Health Screening truck conducting free exams

Lakewood Station
City of Bellflower
The City of Bellflower, in conjunction with employees from the Bellflower
Public Safety Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department, will
celebrate the City’s Annual National Night Out on Tues, August 7, 2012,
starting at 5:00 p.m. by participating in a Procession/Walk beginning at
the Bellflower Sub-Station (16600 Civic Center Drive, Bellflower).
Sheriff's deputies, firefighters, City staff, Neighborhood Watch
Volunteers and City Council members will proceed in an assortment of
radio cars, fire trucks, and city vehicles, to several pre-scheduled
block parties throughout Bellflower. At each stop, all personnel will
distribute commemorative gifts and literature on crime prevention and
safety. They will also participate in photo opportunities with the block

The City of Hawaiian Gardens, in conjunction with the Los Angeles County

9:00 p.m. by hosting the 4th Annual “Community Peace March.” The March
will start at the Hawaiian Gardens City Hall (21815 Pioneer Boulevard)

activities (including inflatable bounce-houses and face painting), public
safety demonstrations and the distribution of public safety and emergency

Avenue, Paramount). Paramount Special Assignment Deputies and Paramount
City Public Safety Staff workers will also distribute Neighborhood Watch,
public safety, emergency preparedness and volunteer recruitment

Avenue, Los Angeles). A BBQ and light refreshments will be served. There
will be Station displays on Crime Prevention, Neighborhood Watch
programs, Personal Safety, and Recruitment. This event will strengthen
the relationship between the Marina Del Rey Sheriff’s Station personnel

Norwalk
Norwalk Station will be celebrating National Night Out on Tues, August 7,
2012, starting at 5:00 p.m. by organizing a Community March and Rally
against Crime and BBQ for residents of the Unincorporated County area of

BBQ, there will be presentations made by local officials, entertainment,
live dancers, music, a raffle and giveaways from local businesses. This

Palmdale Station, in conjunction with the City of Palmdale, held its
National Night Out event “Thursday Night on The Square” on July 26, 2012,
from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Poncitlan Square (38315 9th Street East,
Palmdale). In addition to free food, games, live music and activities for
children, this event showcased displays including the Department’s show
vehicles, LASD Racing Team car, LASD Off-Road Racing truck, LASD
Motorcycle Detail, LASD OHV Motorcycle Team, LASD SHARE Tolerance
Program, Palmdale Station’s Mobile Command Post, and several vehicles
from LA County Fire Department. Several booths & displays were on hand
to provide the residents & businesses with information regarding
Neighborhood Watch programs, Business Watch programs, 29th Annual
“National Night Out” Volunteers on Patrol, Explorer program, and the LASD

Parties throughout the entire city. Street closures will take place on

hosts a block party complete with barbeques, potlucks, games and prizes.
These events are being coordinated by West Hollywood Station in partnership
with the Public Safety Office from the City of West Hollywood and the Los

Parks Bureau of the Sheriff’s Department will be celebrating its National
