Community: #Altadena Summer Concert by The Altadena Sheriff's Support Group at Farnsworth Park starts this Saturday July 6th

Looking for a great time on a summer saturday night? The Sheriff’s Support Group of Altadena (SSGA) has announced the lineup for the 17th annual FREE Summer Concerts in the beautiful Amphitheater in Farnsworth Park, 568 E. Mt. Curve Ave., Altadena, CA 91001. All Concerts start at 7:00 PM.

This year’s season kicks off on July 6th featuring the Downbeat Express Altadena’s Big Band, along with the vocal talents of Jennifer Gates. The July 13th concert will feature Law & Disorder, Classic Rock ‘N Roll. On July 20th we will feature The Blue Breeze Band with the sounds of R & B, Soul, Blues and more. On July 27th for their very first performance in the Amphitheater at Farnsworth Park is the Louis van Taylor Quintet playing cool Jazz. On August 3rd we welcome back Guitarist Brian Hughes with his contemporary Latin Jazz. On August 10th The Band Upstream is back by popular demand playing Reggae, Calypso, Soca & Steel Drum music. August 17th the featured artists will be The Groove playing your favorite Oldies but Goodies. On August 24th Those Manning Bhoys and Friends we be serenading you with songs from the Public Houses of Ireland and in their second act will feature tributes to George M. Cohen. The 2013 Summer Concert Series Grand Finale concludes on September 7th Featuring Hot August Night Starring Dean Colley in a tribute to Neil Diamond

Each year, the Summer Concert Series has been made possible by the generous support of our Sponsors. This year SSGA welcomes back a major sponsor, Warner Bros. Entertainment.

The Altadena Sheriff’s Station and Farnsworth Park are both hosting once again this year.

El Patron Mexican Food Restaurant will be cooking and selling food at the top of the Amphitheater throughout the entire SCS. The Rotary Club of Altadena will be selling beer and wine from the ground floor of the Davis Building.

The Sherrif's Support Group of Altadena is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that assists the Altadena Sheriff’s Station are the producers of the 17th Annual Summer Concert Series.
