Community: Altadena Sheriff's TEEN CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training *** New Dates***

Altadena Sheriff's Station will be conducting a TEEN CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training Saturday, July 20th, 2013 and Saturday July 27th, 2013 from 8:00AM - 4:00PM, at Farnsworth Park located at 568 E. Mount Curve Ave., Altadena.

As a teen, there are probably a lot of things you've been told you can't do. But there is one very important thing you can do: Learn to protect yourself, your family, and your friends in case of a disaster. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, is a national program of volunteers trained in disaster preparedness and emergency response. Volunteers come from all ages and all walks of life, including teenagers!

Teen CERT training teaches you about the potential disasters that could affect your area and how to safely and responsibily respond to them.

Through Teen CERT you can serve your community and help take care of your school and home.

To find out more about the training visit: www.citizencorps.gov/cert
